GeoX/Personal with the gProspectR and gFullCycle tools is a powerful, yet easy to use workbench package in the well established GeoX family of exploration decision support tools. gProspectR supports volumetric evaluation of prospectivity and risks. gFullCycle provides a complete, but simple approach to modelling the exploration, development and production activities that drive life cycle exploration project costs and revenues. Both tools have been designed to promote quality assured exploration decisioning. They use the most recent advances in prospect modelling techniques, stochastic life cycle modelling techniques and computer-based support. Unique argumentation functions provide a basis for effective communication and systematic learning in multidiscipline evaluations of exploration opportunities.

In-place and recoverable oil, associated gas, non-associated gas and condensate resources are assessed with gProspectR using stochastic input parameter estimates. Explicit distinction between marginal, play-level risks and conditional, prospect specific risks provides calibrated analysis of prospects in frontier and mature plays. Additional features such as on-the-fly unit conversion and direct entry of intermediate values provide a flexible and scaleable HC accumulation modelling framework.

Common relational geodatabase

Full cycle analyses are attached to the corresponding prospect analysis and stored in a common GeoX database. The database uses industry standard relational database systems such as Oracle and Sybase. GeoX/Personal is the stand-alone GeoX solution with a personal relational database.

GeoX /personal is simple to use with effective use from the first day. Flexible interaction provides a basis for rapid analysis of simple cases and direct extension to the analysis of more complex situations. A modern window-based graphical user interface assures that 80 % of all interactions are point-and-select operations.

GeoX is a scaleable solution that can grow in terms of your needs and requirements. The GeoX/Personal solution is a stand-alone version with single-user database intended for small companies and for use with laptop computers. The GeoX/Workgroup solution supports multiple users in a client/server configuration and active maintenance of a common corporate exploration data base across multiple sites and machines. Scope of functionality can be extended to the full range of tools and functions.

The GeoX workbench has been developed using an object oriented programming environment that is available on industry standard workstation platforms both in client/server and standalone versions.
