GeoX offers a comprehensive set of statistical distributions for use in stochastic simulation. The system therefore can accomodate all types of distribution data or estimates. A distribution editor lets you both define and publish the set of distributions that are in line with company specific guidelines and standards.
The GeoX distributions include a comprehensive range of symmetric and skewed distributions as well as bounded and unbounded distribitions: - Normal
- Lognormal
- Beta
- Stretched beta
- Triangular
- Logtriangular
- Uniform
- Poisson
- Constant.
You can model empirical distirbutions using user defined distributions where you define either directly the fractiles (percentiles) of the distribution or you enter the frequency distribution of values. A powerful "weighted" distribution gives the ability to combine distributions to both produce multimodal distributions or model distributional scenarios.
All distributions are deployed via the Parameter Input Panel (PIP). The system administrator can control both what distributions are available and the order that they are displayed. Template analyses can be pre-populated according to your best practive distribution guidelines.
