Integration with Other Applications

Industry standard web services (Data Channel), batch load and a unique Reporting Tables and Custom Views functionality provides an effective means to leverage and integrate GeoX with other applications such as GIS, data analysis tools, custom reporting, your company fiscals and business planning.

Reporting Tables are an integral part of the GeoX database that deliver “live” data at all times. Not only do you get full access to all input and result parameters, you also get results in both SI units and Field units directly without having to worry about unit conversion.

With Custom Views you can design database views that extract specific data from Reporting Tables targeted for specific reports or the requirements of other applications such as GIS,  data analysis tools and business planning applications. A view looks like a table and typically joins several reporting table views. The custom view selects a subset of the columns available from the joined database tables to create exactly the tables that you require.

The Data Channel is a web service that supports getting play and prospect assessment data in and out of GeoX. It also exposes GeoX functionality for doing play and prospect assessment . It supports creating folders, creating analyses, entering input estimates as well as calculating and storing results. As such the Data Channel complements Reporting Tables and is designed for interactive (two-way) integration with other applications such as GIS-based play assessment.

The same security mechanisms that apply to your GeoX folders and analyses apply also to the Reporting Tables. As a consequence individual users will only be able to see data that they have been granted access to when they log in to the GeoX database.
