The GeoX tools for prospect assessment cover the full range of exploration situations. The segment1 is the basic assessment unit. Prospects are collections of segments where chance of success and success volumes are for when at least one segment succeeds -- assuming that all segments are tested.
Based on input of volumetric estimates and related risk estimates, the GeoX tool for segment analysis, gSegmentR, produces estimates of in-place and recoverable hydrocarbon resources in the segment. A range of volume and fluids options provide fit-for-purpose and fit-for-data modeling. Aggregation of segments in prospects supports detailed modeling of both risk and volume dependencies. Unique options for modeling stacking and communication between segments increase the range of geological situations that can be modeled explicitly.
You can use the multiple scenario tool to do probabilistic aggregation of alternative scenarios and thereby consider a more complete range of possible outcomes.
All segment and prospect analyses are stored in the GeoX database. This speeds up and eases the assessment workflow. The database is also the gateway for integration with assessment of both full cycle economic value of the exploration opportunity and Yet-To-Find resources in the play.
