GeoX chosen by Total for Prospect Assessment World Wide.   Oct 31 2011  GeoKnowledge announces that that French Supermajor Total has completed roll out of a new prospect assessment solution based on the GeoX system from GeoKnowledge.  GeoX replaces the existing in-house system and the contract with GeoKnowledge not only includes extensions of the GeoX solution, but also migration of the existing Total prospect database.   Initial reactions from users have been very positive and all exploration prospects are now being assessed with GeoX.  Read More

May 16 2011 ArcGIS play tool specialist GIS-pax has announced a new business partnership with exploration decision support leader GeoKnowledge that will facilitate integrated map-based assessment of plays and play fairways.   The solution will streamline the linking of regional play fairway maps for the quantification of yet-to-find potential in part-plays and designated areas of interest. Read More

SPE Applied Technology Workshop on Petroleum Reserves and Resources Estimation,  March, 28 - 30, 2011, Moscow, Russia.   Charles Stabell, GeoKnowledge, presented on "Stochastic Resource Classification" in the session on Deterministic and Stochastic Methods.

SPE 2010 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, September 20 - 22, 2010, Florence, Italy.  This conference offered  a unique opportunity to learn more about how GeoX and GeoKnowledge can help your company make better exploration and exploitation decisions.  We are pleased with the strong interest in the new tools for assessment of unconventional resources as well as the new version of the GeoX tool for doing full cycle analysis.

3rd Symposium on Resource Assessment Methodologies, CSUG Canmore, Alberta, Sept 16 – 17, 2010.  Both Richard Sinding-Larsen and Charles Stabell attended.  Dr. Sinding-Larsen had a lead review paper while Charles Stabell presented the paper “Modeling Staged Exploration and Exploitation: Convergence of Conventional & Unconventional Resource Assessment Methods? “

EAGE International Conference and Exhibition, Barcelona, Spain, June 14-17, 2010. Thanks to all that visited our booth. The demos and soilution cases were well attended and your feedback, questions and suggestions are as always very useful.

GeoX User Forum 2010.  The GeoX User Forum 2010 is in Barcelona, Spain on June 10 - 11, 2010 was the best attended ever. The User Forum, scheduled back-to-back,  with the June 14 - 17 EAGE Conference and Exhibition 2010, was again an important platform for new ideas and prioritization of development efforts.

HEES Conference, April 8-9, 2010, Dallas, Texas.  The GeoKnowledge booth was well attended with special interest in the new capabilities in assessing unconventional resources as well as the new ReserveTracker functionality in GeoX. 

AAPG International Conference and Exhibition 2009,  Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, November 15 - 18.  Darrel Norman presented the paper "Inappropriate Separation of Risk and Uncertainty in Probabilistic Assessments" while Per Audun Hole and Charles Stabell had a poster session on "Economics of Staged Exploration and Exploitation: An Application to a Deepwater Concession".

EAGE International Conference and Exhibition, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, June 8-11, 2009. GeoKnowledge demonstrated signifcant enhancements in assessment of complex prospects as well doing the economics of concessions and clusters.   The Solution Cases sessions at the booth were well attended.

GeoX User Forum 2009.  The GeoX User Forum 2009 was held in Amsterdam, the Netherland on June 4 - 5, 2009. The User Forum is scheduled back-to-back with the June 8 - 11 EAGE Conference and Exhibition 2009.

15th Latin Oil Week 2009. We were present in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil March 24 - 27.

SPE Petroleum Reserves Estimation Workshop, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, March 10 – 12 2009.  Charles Stabell presented the paper "Integrating Technical & Economic Evaluations".

PETEX Conference and Exhibition 2008 London, UK, Nov 25-27.  Klaus Dittmers, Per Audun Hole and Charles Stabell presented papers on "Integrated Play-Prospect Assessment: An Application to a Frontier Basin" and "Forecasting Resource and Reserve Transformation: An Integrated Stochastic Modelling Framework".   The Solution Case presentations at our booth were well attended.

GeoX User Forum 2008, Rome, June 13-14, 2008. The 2008 GeoX User Forum was held in Rome, Italy on June 13 and 14. The Forum was scheduled back-to-back with the 2008 EAGE Conference and Exhibition, June 9-12. 2008.

70th EAGE Conference and Exhibition 2008 Rome, Italy, June 9 - 12, 2008 GeoKnowledge held an open 2-day version of the popular Modern Prospect Assessment course in Rome, right before the start of EAGE 2008.

CSEG-CSPG-CWSL Conference and Exhibition 2008 Calgary, Alberta, May 12-15, 2008.  We attended the conference where Charles Stabell and Espen Langli presented the paper "Handling Seismic Anomalies on Multiple Targets".

AAPG 2008 in San Antonio, April 20-23, 2008  GeoKnowledge was present with a booth. Attendees learned how GeoX helps companies improve assessments of exploration and exploitation ventures. We demonstrated significant enhancements in evaluation of unconventional resources.

GeoKnowledge Moved December 2007. GeoKnowledge main office in Oslo, Norway moved to Thunes Vei 2. Our new facilities provide the necessary space for further expansion as well as improved training facilities.

AAPG 2007 Energy Conference and Exhibition in Athens, Greece, November 18-21, 2007 We were present at booth 230 and talked about how GeoX help companies improve assessments of exploration and exploitation ventures. We demonstrated significant enhancements in intergrated play-prospect assessment as well as evaluation of unconventional resources. Per Audun Hole and Charles Stabell presented a paper on "Opportunity Maturation: Forecasting Resource and Reserve Additions". 

SPE 2007 ATCE in Anaheim, November 11-14, 2007. We were present at booth 1231. Participants learned how GeoX help companies improve assessments of exploration and exploitation ventures. We demonstrated significant enhancements in both full cycle economic assessment and evaluation of unconventional resources.

GeoX User Forum 2007 The 2007 GeoX User Forum was held in Oslo, Norway on October 4-5. 2007.

HEES Conference, April 1-3, 2007. We were present at the Hydrocarbon Economics and Evaluation Symposium (HEES), Dallas. GeoX and GeoKnowledge help companies make better exploration and exploitation decisions. At the conference Charles Stabell presented a paper on "Stochastic Modelling of Shale Gas Resource Play Economics".
