A new step-jump
in functions and ease-of-use that further strengthens GeoX as the leading
DayOne OneStop exploration decision support solution
(September 23, 2004) GeoKnowledge, a leading provider of best
practice decision support solutions for the upstream oil & gas industry,
is proud to announce the release of GeoX 5.4. This new release is yet
another significant milestone in GeoKnowledge's active collaboration
with our customers to introduce innovative technology that improves
the effectiveness and efficiency of their exploration decision-making.
The release includes a large number of new functions
and formats while further enhancing ease-of-use: A new segment-based
architecture provides the basis for a more effective workflow. The gProspectR
tool for prospect risk and resource assessment provides new options
for a richer and more direct representation of the geological basis
for modelling risk and volume dependencies as well as segment relationships
in multisegment exploration targets. The gPlayR tool for play risk and
resource assessment has been completely revamped with a range of new
modeling options that can mirror exploration maturity and data availability.
The new gBasin tool supports systematic Quick Look Screening of basins.
Numerous other enhancements &
new features
Additional improvements and extensions
apply across the board to all GeoX tools as well as to common facilities
shared by all tools.
Among the more than 40 enhancements are:
-- A simplified and revamped interface that supports a more effective
workflow and interaction format.
-- A new distribution viewer with log-probit as one of four alternative
formats.
-- Vastly improved trial browsing that supports trial grouping and automatic
creation of multiple scenarios.
-- Conformable groups for modeling stacked reservoirs and conformable
beds that share contacts and trapping.
-- Stochastic plumbing functions supports direct modeling of leaks and
shared contacts between segments.
-- Both a new area yield and a range of new volume modelling options
for a feature-based assessment of Yet-To-Find potential in plays.
-- and much more
